Netball New Zealand is pleased to announce the appointment of Ngarama Milner-Olsen as Assistant Coach of the New Zealand Secondary Schools (NZSS) team.
Milner-Olsen brings significant coaching experience to the role, having led the Central Manawa team in the Synergy Hair Netball League since 2023. In her first season at the helm, she guided the team to a championship title and was subsequently named the 2023 Synergy Hair Netball League Coach of the Year.
A passionate advocate for youth development, Milner-Olsen is currently the Director of Netball and Head Coach at Scots College in Wellington. She has also played a key leadership role as Head Coach of the Aotearoa Maori Secondary School programme over the past 3 years, which included tours to Fiji and Sydney .
Milner-Olsen joins the NZSS Management team alongside Head Coach Jo Morrison and Physiotherapist Kylie Cox as they oversee the three National Development Camps. The Upper North Island camp is currently underway, with the South Island Camp scheduled for 16–18 January and the Lower North Island Camp to follow from 22–24 January.
These camps form a key part of the preparation for the NZ Secondary Schools campaign in July.
