The Real Steel Southern Roadie has been a huge success bringing our Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel players into our community.
We started off in Queenstown, Wanaka and Cromwell in November 2022, then got back out on the road again for our first session of 2023 in Invercargill with the NSW Swifts. Following on from this we headed up to Oamaru, Twizel and Kurow for three visits in North Otago. Gore, Winton, Dunedin and Balclutha followed on in March and April.
We had over 800 keen young netballers attend the various “Roadie” sessions across the Zone. This has been a great way to connect our Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel players into the community, to try and engage more keen young netballers to put their shoes on and play netball.
Thank you to all of the Centres who supported these sessions and welcomed us into your communities, we thoroughly enjoyed being out on the road visiting you all.
